Ecolution "ec'o-lu-tion" = 1. a revolution in technology which will replace toxic petro-chemicals with eco-friendly materials like hemp. 2. the necessary process of humanity's reconnecting to a life in balance with the planet. see also: the elocutionary imperative. The seeds of Ecolution were planted when I met Jack Herer in late 1988. Jack had just written his classic book The Emperor Wears No Clothes. In those days, very few people knew cannabis could produce textiles, paper, food, and fuel as well as a healthy euphoria. Jack and myself, along with other activists, organized the first Hemp Tour. Jack's speeches, music donated by dozens of bands, and the sweat and courage of hundreds of grass roots organizers succeeded in drawing public attention to hemp's potential as a natural resource. They are the unsung heroes of the hemp movement. When I started Ecolution, I found a partner in Eric Steenstra- at that time NORML's music industry liaison. Our deep roots in the activist community are reflected in Ecolution's commitment to 100% Hemp products and 5% for our Freedom fund. Stevie D. co-founder of Ecolution
